Lewis Aamp

Level designer & games design student

> About <

My name is Lewis, I am a Games Design student from Falmouth University with a strong passion in the work that goes behind making games.
I mainly specialise in Level Design and Music and look to expand across both of those areas.
I started Games Design back in 2022 at City Norwich College and have produced an array of projects throughout college and now into Univeristy!
Prior to Game Design I was really into Graphics Design and have a lot of experience using Photoshop creating things such as thumbnails, promo graphics and more! (I don't have anything to show but just trust my word)

Final Major Project - Sainsbury Centre

inside of this project we worked with the Sainsbury Centre to create a game demo which included a piece displayed in their exhibit. This demo would be play tested by the public in an event held by the Centre.
For this project i used the Owl Mask as the artifact where it was used as the main story plot for the game.
With this project, i used this to explore all my different skills and put each of them to the test to create a playable demo before the deadline.
This project was really fun to create and it was amazing to explore their exhibit and see all of the different pieces they had on display

New Anglia Jam 2024 - "Spiral"

in the New Anglia Jam 2024 i participated in a team of 5 to produce a game titled "Spiral", where you're a bouncer trying not to go insane.
Within my team, my main focus was audio design and creating the various music tracks featured in our submission.
Audio Design is a skill i wasn't confident in before but this jam allowed me to explore more into the process behind the role and i have been able to build on that skill alot and become more confident

Roots n' Revolvers - FMP

in the Project i participated in a team of 6 to produce a game titled "Roots n' Revolvers", a western rogue-like where you must defend your water.
Within my team, my main focus was creating the first level.
I created the level inside of MagicaVoxel where i designed the buildings, layout and the scenary. I was given creative freedom to make it however i liked where i took inspiration from old western towns and movies.
We hosted playtests of the game at the Norwich Games Festival 2025 at our college stand for the public to play.

New Anglia Jam 2025 - "Delivery To The Dead"

in the New Anglia Jam 2025 i participated in a team of 4 to produce a game titled "Delivery To The Dead", a wacky racing delivery game set inside of an apocolypse.
Within my team, my primary focus was Level Design and Audio Design. in the early days of the jam i built the layout to the level inside of Blender to give the others an idea on what it would look like. Towards the end of the jam i focused on Audio Design and created some music tracks for our game using Bandlab.
With our time limit we managed to miss the submission deadline by a couple seconds leading our game to not be qualified for the competition.

LitePath

LitePath is one of my first projects starting uni, being apart of my GAM104 module where we were tasked to create a 2D Platformer entirely inside of Unity.
The project started mid October and concluding mid December. Within that time I used tools like Aseprite and FL Studio to create some of the sprites and music you see in the game. I also sourced a majority of the SFX, Character Sprite, Level Tileset & others.
This project was an opener to Unity and allowed me to understand the fundamentals of how Unity works and even the scripting aspect of the engine.
